Our Intentional Living Worksheet offers space to list three different ways you can intentionally fill up these buckets in your own life every month. By proactively planning action items that will improve these different areas of your life—and designing them into your days using your Day Designer—you are more likely to reach your goals and live a well-designed life.

Today, we’re going to lead you through intention-setting—using our new printable. Download it here! Print out a clean copy of your own and set aside 15-20 minutes to fill in your personal intentions and the action items you’ll take to achieve them.
Here’s what you’ll want to do each month to build this process into your routine!
Set Aside Time
Make a monthly date with yourself to check-in and plan your intentions. Maybe you’ll do it on the first of every month, or perhaps you’ll set aside time on the first Sunday of each month. It doesn’t matter when you do it, so much as it matters that you do it—and you actually commit to yourself, your intentions, and living a life of purpose. So pull out your Day Designer and find the day that works best for you over the next three months, six months, or a year. Then commit: Write it down and save that space. This is the first step in committing to a life of purpose!
Consider What You Want + Need
Living an intentional life is a very personal experience—your intentions may not look like your partner’s or your boss’ or your children’s or your best friend’s. And that’s okay! It can be a really powerful exercise in honesty, authenticity, and self-awareness to consider what it is that you want and need to live a life of purpose and service—both to yourself and to other people and projects.
As you work through the printable, ask yourself: What sort of self-care do I need to feel refreshed? Taken care of? Or what activities make me feel most connected to my family and friends? Or what experiences feel fun to me? Give yourself the space to brainstorm and get creative and really connect to what’s true for you—and nobody else. Remember that you serve everyone (and everything) else best when you serve yourself first. And if you need a few ideas to get your wheels turning, we’ve shared some of our favorites here!
Prioritize Your Intentions
Now that you’ve identified some of the best ways you can live with intention in some of the most important areas of your life, pick one or two to focus on first! Take a look at your list and identify the intention that would add the most purpose to your life if put into action—because you will put it into action (that’s coming up next)! You don’t necessarily need to forget about your other ideas either; you can always carry them over from month to month. Or brainstorm again and try something new! For now, focus on and prioritize the intention that will serve you best this month.
Make a Plan
And finally, you need to put this all into practice. By now, your printable should be complete! You’ve outlined three action items you can take in six vital areas of your personal life. How and when and where will you actually take action? Don’t let this just be a fun exercise that never comes to fruition! Pull out your Day Designer and schedule time for the actions you’ve dreamed up.
