We know you’re busy—and, we have to admit, we’re busy, too. It seems like just about everyone we know is busier than ever before.

We all have more coming at us, more options at our fingertips, more choices to make, more things to manage, more items to take care of.

Let’s step back from it all for a few minutes today to gain a bit of perspective…

  • Do we want to remember these days (these years) as the busiest time of our lives?
  • Do we want to look back and say, “If only I wasn’t so busy back then, I could’ve” done this or that or been more present in my children’s lives or propelled my career or nourished my friendships?

The reality is that if you’re not intentional about your time, life will take over and your days will not feel manageable. We know because we’ve been there.

Although it might not feel like it today, being busy isn’t something that is out of your control. Rather, it’s completely within your control!

At Day Designer, we’ve made it our mission to help you live a more meaningful and organized life. And over the next couple of weeks, we’re here to help you take back your day!

After years of research on how successful people design their days, we’re sharing strategies that will help you plan, focus, and achieve real results.

If you’d like to take back your day, here’s how to get started:

Envision how you want your day to go and what you ultimately want out of it. If you skip this step, how do you know what you need to do? We all have lists a mile long, but being successful means knowing what to go after first, second, third—and pinpointing what doesn’t align with our goals and top priorities after all—so that we can eliminate and be more realistic about what we set out to accomplish.

Identify the tasks that you can realistically accomplish to make this vision of your day a reality. Write these down and be sure to identify your top three.
